Privatus Care Solutions COVID- 19 Health and Safety Policy
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority at Privatus Care Solutions is the health and safety of our clients, our caregivers, and all those who come into contact with them. We have taken significant steps to protect our employees and their families while continuing to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
With a strong telecommuting network, everyone on our team can collaborate and communicate remotely across disciplines, from nurse supervisors to case managers, to physicians and all others involved in providing services. The input of you and your family, more than ever, is important to us. As a company that is uniquely focused on supporting personal preferences, we are preparing to do all that we can to accommodate individual requests that contribute to your peace of mind.
We also continue to monitor and follow state/federal mandates and the CDC/WHO public health guidelines as they evolve to help contain the spread of the virus. We recommend that you also follow these guidelines to protect both yourself and those around you.
During these unprecedented times, we remain 100% operational and prepared to assist you. On behalf of all of us at Privatus, we thank you for your continued confidence in us during this challenging and unsettling time. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance.
Health and Safety Procedures
As health care professionals we are continuing to provide services while taking proper precautions to help prevent exposure and the spread of the Covid-19 virus. While normal protocol dictates that Privatus employees frequently wash their hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based rub if soap and water are unavailable, we are encouraging caregivers to double their efforts and remain extremely diligent before and after visiting clients.
In addition to soap and alcohol-based hand rubs, all Privatus client homes are provided with disposable gloves that are replenished on a regular basis.
If a caregiver has traveled to a high-risk country and/or tests positive for Covid-19 they will not be sent to a client for a minimum of two weeks and must be symptom-free.
If a Privatus client or potential client tests positive for Covid-19, we will continue to provide services to the best of our ability.
If a sales consultant receives a referral for a potential client testing positive for Covid-19, the intake process will be conducted over the phone.
If a Privatus caregiver tests positive for Covid-19 after caring for a Privatus client who tested positive for Covid-19, we will pay the caregiver 80 hours to allow them to quarantine for two weeks.
Assuming that they have not recently visited high-risk countries or tested positive for Covid-19, Sales Consultants will continue to make visits to referral sources where they are allowed to enter. In addition to the hand-washing protocol, it is advised that all consultants refrain from handshaking and keep a distance of approximately six feet when conversing with potential clients in hospitals and other health care facilities.
We are continuously monitoring updates and recommendations from the Center For Disease Control and the World Health Organization and will adjust protocols as we see fit.
Finally, in regard to washing your hands: Wash your hands as if you just chopped jalapeno peppers for your nachos and now you need to take out your contact lenses 🙂
